    We are a fast-growing, future-forward impact consultancy seeking our first full-time hire to help strengthen and scale our client services practice. This is a contract to hire position. At làmdi, we partner with leaders across philanthropy, finance, government, creative industries, and small business ecosystems to align strategy, mobilize capital, and expand prosperity.

    Contract Duration

    April 2026 – September 2026. This engagement is structured as a contract role with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time employee (FTE) position based on mutual agreement and overall performance.

    Location

    Remote within the United States. Candidates based in or near Seattle, WA are preferred but not required.

    Estimated Workload

    Full-time; Approximately 40 hours per week during the contract period. Contractors retain discretion over how work is completed, consistent with agreed deliverables and timelines.

    Contract Compensation

    $7,500 per month during the contract period.

    Potential Salary Range

    If the role transitions to full-time employment, the expected salary range is $95,000 – $105,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

    Conversion Bonus (If Applicable)

    If the contractor transitions to full-time employment, they may be eligible for a discretionary one-time conversion bonus of up to 15% of total contract earnings during the contract period.

    Benefits (If Converted to Full-Time)

    Full-time employees may be eligible for benefits which are anticipated to include health benefits, paid time off, paid sick leave, and potential performance-based bonus opportunities. More information will be provided to candidates selected to participate in the interview process.

    The Role

    The Engagement Manager will play a central role in ensuring that our client engagements are executed with clarity, rigor, and care. In the near term, this individual will partner closely with the CEO to manage active engagements, coordinate project delivery, and ensure that client work meets làmdi’s high standards. Over time, the Engagement Manager will also help design and own the internal systems, workflows, and delivery infrastructure that allow the firm to scale its impact. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy, operations, and client delivery - who can manage complex projects in real time while also helping design the systems that enable a mission-driven consulting firm to grow sustainably.

    Following a successful contract period, this role is intended to transition into làmdi’s first full-time employee (FTE) position, working closely with the CEO to support client engagements, strengthen operational systems, and help build the internal infrastructure that allows the firm to grow sustainably. This role sits at the intersection of client delivery, project management, and operational systems building. The ideal candidate combines client-facing professionalism, operational discipline, and systems thinking. They are someone who can both manage projects in real time and identify opportunities to improve how the firm delivers its work over the long term.     What You’ll Help Build

    As làmdi continues to grow, we are intentionally strengthening the infrastructure that supports our client work. This role will play a central part in helping design how the firm delivers its consulting engagements at scale including:

    • A repeatable client delivery model that ensures consistency, quality, and clarity across engagements
    • Operational systems and workflows that support collaboration across consultants, contractors, and project teams
    • Internal knowledge systems and toolkits that allow insights, frameworks, and deliverables to be reused across projects
    • A strong client experience infrastructure, ensuring that clients experience clear communication, organized project management, and high-quality deliverables
    • The foundation for future delivery teams, helping establish the structures that will allow làmdi to expand its consulting capacity over time

    This role is ideal for someone who enjoys not only managing projects, but also designing the systems that allow a mission-driven consulting firm to grow sustainably.

    Key Responsibilities

    Client Engagement Management & Service Delivery
    Serve as a core delivery partner to the CEO across multiple client engagements.

    • Track, manage, and take ownership of project timelines, deliverables, and action items across multiple client engagements to ensure work is delivered on time and within scope.
    • Lead or support client meetings as needed, ensuring agendas, follow-ups, and next steps are clearly documented and executed.
    • Serve as a point of contact for clients when appropriate, ensuring a responsive and organized client experience.
    • Draft or support development of client deliverables including presentations, reports, and strategic documents.
    • Proactively manage project scope and identify potential risks or scope creep, ensuring alignment with internal teams and clients.
    • Maintain strong visibility across engagements to ensure milestones, deadlines, and deliverables are consistently met.

    Project & Team Coordination
    Coordinate internal teams and external collaborators to ensure seamless project execution.

    • Maintain and manage project management systems (e.g., Asana, Slack, Google Drive).
    • Coordinate workflows across contractors, consultants, and project teams.
    • Ensure clear decision-making ownership across project workstreams.
    • Draft agendas, meeting materials, and meeting notes while tracking follow-up actions.
    • Lead internal coordination meetings when necessary to ensure progress across workstreams.

    Internal Systems & Operational Infrastructure
    Support development of internal systems to deliver services consistently and sustainably

    • Document and improve standard operating procedures for client delivery, project management, and internal coordination.
    • Establish and maintain systems that ensure institutional knowledge is organized and accessible.
    • Develop templates and tools that support repeatable client engagement workflows (deliverables, project plans, onboarding materials).
    • Support onboarding of subcontractors or project collaborators as needed.
    • Identify operational bottlenecks and design or implement systems that improve efficiency, coordination, and sustainable growth across the firm

    Client Experience & Relationship Support
    Support strong client relationships and a high standard of service delivery.

    • Track relationship touchpoints and key client communications.
    • Draft communications on behalf of the CEO when appropriate.
    • Support evaluation activities such as gathering participant feedback and preparing progress reports.
    • Ensure that client-facing materials and communications reflect làmdi’s quality standards and values.

    Firm Growth & Delivery Infrastructure
    As capacity allows, contribute to initiatives that strengthen làmdi’s ability to scale its client services.

    • Help refine internal frameworks for how làmdi delivers consulting engagements.
    • Identify opportunities to improve how project teams are structured across engagements.
    • Support development of internal knowledge repositories and delivery toolkits.
    • Contribute to internal planning related to staffing, project resourcing, and engagement workflows.
    • Over time, support coordination or oversight of additional project managers as the team grows.

    Business Development & Proposal Support
    Support the growth of làmdi by helping translate emerging opportunities into clear, well-structured proposals and by maintaining strong follow-through with prospective partners and clients.

    • Draft and refine proposals, scopes of work, and project budgets in collaboration with the CEO.
    • Translate early-stage client conversations into structured engagement plans, timelines, and deliverables.
    • Maintain proposal templates, past proposal libraries, and reusable materials that streamline future business development.
    • Track inbound leads, partnership conversations, and proposal timelines to ensure timely follow-up and responsiveness.
    • Support preparation of materials for prospective client meetings, presentations, and pitches.
    • Coordinate internal input from consultants or collaborators when proposals require multiple contributors.
    • Help ensure that new client engagements transition smoothly from proposal stage to project kickoff.

    This person is excited to help build a growing consulting firm and works with care, clarity, and collaboration alongside clients, partners, and distributed teams while thoughtfully leveraging modern tools to support meaningful work. We are seeking candidates that have:

    • 6–8+ years of experience working in consulting, advisory firms, strategy groups, or mission-driven professional services organizations strongly preferred
    • Experience working with consultants, contractors, and distributed teams
    • Experience managing client relationships and facilitating professional meetings
    • Strong project management skills across complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
    • Highly organized with strong systems thinking and operational discipline
    • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
    • Familiarity with tools such as Asana, Slack, Google Workspace, and collaborative project systems
    • Well versed with latest AI tools and systems with intentional and mindful approach to how tools are used as well as an understanding that AI output requires human oversight

    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and excited about helping build a growing consulting firm.
